Job Summary of the Accountant position
Integr8staff seeks a dynamic and proven Accountant in Riverside, CA.
Responsibilities of the Accountant position
Log cash transactions, ensuring entries adhere to accounting principles and company guidelines.
Lead monthly bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
Resolve monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
Compose and analyze journal entries to record standard COGS, overhead allocations, and other complex accounting and costing-related transactions.
Lead annual physical inventory counts, manage the monthly work order process, and prepare and review work order variances with management.
Support an accurate inventory roll forward to ensure proper balances at month-end.
Oversee Accounts Payable team, develop relationships with vendors, monthly reconciliation of vendor statements, and weekly ageing reports.
Manage two or more staff persons and preparation of annual review.
Develop, implement, and maintain construction management system, including setting up projects (jobs), budgets, job costs, cost codes, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and various construction progress reports.
Review and analyze capitalization of costs. Ensure compliance with policy.
Lead process for proper coding of construction invoices (payment applications) and lien releases for contractor and vendor invoices. Maintain contract documents including records of lien releases in appropriate files.
Analyze and review project status with Project Managers.
Manage and participate in cost analyses.
Prepare/gather materials related to construction and cost accounting matters for internal and external auditors.
Collaborate with cost accounting system software provider.

Undertake and manage additional duties and projects to support the accounting department.
Requirements of the Accountant position
Four-year degree in Accounting required.
Four (4) plus years of experience in a supervisory role and working full cycle accounting
Strong background in GAAP, year end closing, P&L, GL reporting, Fixed Assets, month end reporting, payroll and tax reporting.
Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement account analysis; journal entries and reconciliation, analyze general ledger accounts.
Construction industry highly preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Strong time-management critical-thinking and analytical skills.
Able to maintain professional composure under tight deadlines or sensitive situations.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to handle a high volume, fast paced work environment.
Able to understand and analyze data, charts, financial reports to make decisions.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
