Job Summary of the Licensing and Regulatory Compliance Counsel position
Integr8staff seeks a seasoned Licensing and Regulatory Compliance Counsel with proven leadership skills He/she will provide support to the General Counsel and Corporate Affairs Counsel II as requested, with a focus on entity licensing, regulatory compliance and regulatory examinations. He/she will work to obtain and maintain company licensure with numerous states regulatory entities. The position requires an individual with the ability to identify and monitor regulatory changes in a timely manner so that company leadership can be informed and take the actions necessary for the company to maintain compliance across all applicable state and federal requirements.

 
Responsibilities of the Licensing and Regulatory Compliance Counsel position
Work to obtain and maintain company licensure with numerous states regulatory entities.

Able to identify and monitor regulatory changes in a timely manner so that company leadership can be informed and take the actions necessary for the company to maintain compliance across all applicable state and federal requirements.
Support the General Counsel and Corporate Affairs Counsel II with a focus on entity licensing, regulatory compliance and regulatory examinations.
Responsible for day-to-day licensing operations including overseeing entity and individual licensing in NMLS and other industry licensing portals, managing the responses to mortgage or other licensing examinations, filing entity reports, and filings such as SOS filings and business registrations.
Maintain and obtain licensures within various states regulatory entities.
Provide support to the General Counsel and Corporate Affairs Counsel II as requested with respect to general corporate matters, transactions, contracts (including government contracts), privacy, any other ongoing projects.
All other duties as assigned by the General Counsel or Corporate Affairs Counsel I and II as requested with respect to general corporate matters, transactions, contracts (including government contracts), privacy, any other ongoing projects.
 
Requirements of the Licensing and Regulatory Compliance Counsel position
Advanced degree or Juris Doctor Degree preferred

Licensed Attorney
2-7 years of experience in licensing, general corporate, compliance and/or regulatory matters managing licensing processes, preferably at a financial or insurance institution, or relevant regulated industry experience including experience in regulatory affairs.
Experience with Federal Government contracts, in-house experience and real estate industry experience preferred
Must have Familiarity with state regulatory bodies (and preferably with NMLS).
Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented and professional.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize and prioritize and manage a high-volume workload.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and under time pressure.
Strong project management skills.
