Job Summary of the Social Media Director position
Integr8staff seeks a seasoned Social Media Director for our client, a thriving, nationally-recognized and award-winning digital marketing advertising agency. This position can sit in either Chicago, Ill or Houston, TX.
 
Responsibilities of the Social Media Director position
Develop, manage, and implement social media strategies aligned with the overall brand positioning and messaging.
Identify potential customer demographics, where they act on social media, how they communicate, and what makes them tick.
Define the most important social media KPIs based on client's goals.
Build a community that is responsive and loyal to the brand.
Analyze the competition to understand the key client brand differentiators compared to their top competitors.
Monitor brand mentions and create a buzz around the brand including social listening, engaging, and responding.
Measure and report campaign effectiveness and success.
Create and manage social media content for multiple social media platforms.
Use analytics tools to gauge the success of posts and campaigns.
Ensure their content is optimized for search engines and the social media platforms they're using.
Research new social media trends, hashtags, and influencers.
Provide constructive feedback.
 
Requirements of the Social Media Director position
A bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
Mastery of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snap Chat, YouTube, and Pinterest
Experience building content social strategy and content calendars for brands across multiple categories
Working knowledge of social media listening tools such as Meltwater, Sprout Social
Experience using social media for professional purposes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with graphic design and photo editing.
Knowledge of various social media monitoring platforms
Proven leadership, communications, intrapersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to problem solve and make important decisions under pressure
Ability to delegate effectively
Time management skills
