Job Summary of the Media Planner and Strategist
We have an immediate need for an experienced Traditional Media Planner (including TV, Radio, Print, Social and Digital) for a progressive and well established advertising agency near Culver City, CA.
 
Responsibilities of the Media Planner and Strategist
Develop impactful television, print and radio media strategies and recommendations 
Identify relevant trends in the marketplace to enhance the agency's role
Work with internal teams on plan development to ensure delivery on campaign objectives
Analyze campaign performance and provide optimization recommendations
Provide plan maintenance and assure accuracy of all media documentation
Prepare flowcharts and budgets for media plan
Prepare and issue buying specs and guidelines to buyers
Analyze client competitive spending reports
Produce research and help write media point of view
Analyze value and applicability of media vehicles for client media plans
 
Requirements of the Media Planner and Strategist
A Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of 4 years of traditional media planning and strategy experience required
Experience using Media Tools software, Excel, and PowerPoint
Multi-platform planning experience required
Strong understanding of expected KPIs by tactic and industry benchmarks
Traditional media concepts and practices preferred
Qualitative market research methodology and analysis preferred
Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Strata View, CoreMedia, Scarborough and/or Experian Simmons tools preferred
Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
