Job Summary of the Customer Service & Collections Manager
Integr8staff is looking for a proven and accomplished Customer Service & Collections Manager to lead in minimizing losses for the company by managing the collection life-cycle of invoicing, collections, default management and reporting for a nationally-recognized financing company.
Responsibilities of the Customer Service & Collections Manager
Manages staff performance actions, including providing feedback on individual performance and coaching for professional growth.
Leads account service, collections and portfolio performance that can be used to develop standards, improvements or changes in process and policy.
Makes recommendations for products or services based on customer feedback and requests.
Manages daily collection activities, including reviewing past dues and accounts assigned for repossession.
Manages deteriorating trends and reports any potential loss exposures in a timely manner.
Ensures compliance with all collection/bankruptcy laws and regulations.
Manages relationships with outside collection agency and legal team on defaults, bankruptcies.
Works with internal departments to handle collections for the largest and key customer accounts.
Compiles and presents monthly management reports to senior leaders.
Develops and ensures collection policy and procedures are followed.
Responsible for understanding policies and process related to billing, fees, customer insurance, and payment posting to properly analyze accounts.
Understands the different types of products and services to become effective in supporting customer service and collection
All other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements of the Customer Service & Collections Manager
Minimum of 7 years of customer service and collection experience
Minimum 4 years of management/supervisory experience
Bachelor's degree of in business, marketing or its equivalent, preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of the commercial financing process
Knowledge of the rules/regulations relating to collection, repossession, bankruptcy, litigation, and Fair Credit Reporting Act, a plus
Ability to lead, motivate and manage high-performing collections and customer service teams.
Strong problem-solving and effective negotiation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, as well as with all levels of the organization
Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications with strong overall keyboarding and internet application skills
Fluent in English and Spanish
