Job Summary of the Human Resources Generalist position
Integr8staff seeks a seasoned and versatile Human Resources Generalist to support the culture and personnel for a nationally recognized, highly regarded producer and designer of highly engineered components.
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist position
Support the HR Director in all areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, leaves of absence, and workers’ compensation administration.
Serves as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and external partners.
Maintaining personnel records, managing HR documentation, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Schedule interviews and coordinate pre-employment screenings, including physicals, drug tests, and background checks.
Prepare and distribute offer letters and new hire packets.
Conduct new hire orientations, ensuring employees understand company policies, benefits, and procedures.
Serve as a resource to employees and leaders on workplace policies and employee concerns.
Resolves employee relations matters in collaboration with the HR Director, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
Keps confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive employee information.
Coordinate all leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, and other statutory or company leaves.
Administer and track workers’ compensation claims, liaising with insurance carriers and maintaining accurate documentation.
Communicate with employees and supervisors regarding return-to-work status and accommodations.
Supports payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll submissions.
Keeps accurate and up-to-date personnel files and HR databases.
Process employee changes such as promotions, transfers, and separations.
Leads compliance with federal and state employment laws, including I-9 documentation and record retention.
Requirements of the Human Resources Generalist position
Bachelor’s degree required.
2+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven knowledge of HR procedures, labor laws, and recordkeeping requirements.
Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Vantage preferred).
SHRM, PHR, or related Human Resources certification highly preferred
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion in a fast-paced environment.
High level of motivation, professionalism, and interpersonal tact.
