Job Summary of the Conflicts Counsel position
Integr8staff has an immediate Conflicts Counsel career opportunity. The Conflicts Counsel is part of the firm’s General Counsel. The ideal should have strong knowledge of conflict rules, effective people skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role can sit in metro markets of Southern California or San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities of the Conflicts Counsel position
Review, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest arising from new matters, new clients, and lateral hires, including coordination with firm attorneys as needed.
Support the intake process by ensuring submissions are complete and accurate and by preparing or reviewing related documentation (e.g., waivers, engagement letters, and outside counsel guidelines).
Respond to attorney and staff inquiries regarding conflicts, waivers, intake policies and procedures, and related professional responsibility issues.
Liaise with firm attorneys to identify business conflicts and take necessary steps to document and resolve those conflicts.
Requirements of the Conflicts Counsel position
3+ years of conflicts analysis experience required. Be meticulous, intellectually curious, have good knowledge of conflict rules, effective people skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Juris Doctor required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Travel up to 10%
