Job Summary of the Intellectual Property Litigation Legal Assistant position
Integr8staff seeks an experienced IP Litigation Practice Specialist/ Legal Assistant to support IP litigation attorneys & paralegals in all aspects of patent litigation and PTAB filings.
Responsibilities of the Intellectual Property Litigation Legal Assistant position
Support IP litigation attorneys and paralegals in all aspects of patent litigation and PTAB filings.
Assisting with daily workflow regarding procedures, deadlines, filings and related documentation in federal courts and PTAB.
Lend their extensive knowledge of patent litigation, trial procedures, federal, state and appellate court rules and procedures to their team and others.
Utilizing their technical, organizational, and administrative skills are necessary to handle the variety of duties and responsibilities outlined.
Double checks work product before presenting attorneys for review and again before sending or filing.
Conduct fact investigation and development, analysis and strategy, and document and file management.
Handles multiple projects, often in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, requiring prioritization and flexibility.
Collaboration with firm personnel at all levels is integral to the role.
Requirements of the Intellectual Property Litigation Legal Assistant position
A minimum of 5-7 years of litigation experience in a law firm.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, plus substantial and relevant work experience.
A bachelor's degree or some college is preferred.
Experience with document productions and e-discovery.
Must have proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, Teams, and document management systems.
Strong working knowledge of Superior and Federal Courts rules and procedures.
Extensive knowledge of litigation (e-filings), trial procedures, and federal and state court procedures and rules.
Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
Possess excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
