Job Summary of the Human Resources Generalist position
Integr8staff seeks a bilingual English/Spanish Human Resources Generalist with Leave of Absence and Workers’ Compensation Analysis experience to support a growing organization in the construction industry.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist position
Serve as a point of contact for the Human Resources Department and will use knowledge of the departments’ tasks and processes to best guide and assist employees.

Draft correspondence and communication as needed for employees
Files and updates employee records and related documents
Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized personnel
Prepares and files reports of accidents and injuries at establishment with OSHA requirements
Compiles and responds to all workers’ compensation issues for indemnity claims
Worker’s compensation and LOA tracking; integration of leaves with workers’ compensation with FMLA leave of absences
Participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Assist Human Resources Manager in drafting corrective actions.
Leads monthly reports to evaluate eligibility for benefit changes for new Foreman.
Runs monthly reports and sets up sick leave allocation for appropriate classifications in accordance to City Ordinance.
Complete special projects and analyses under the direction of the Director of HR.
Maintains compliance and knowledge with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Participates in the recruitment process as needed.

Requirements of the Human Resources Generalist position
High school diploma or equivalent required, AA/BA Degree preferred

2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in the construction industry
Bilingual, ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is required.
Experience handling worker’s comp cases is highly preferred
Thorough knowledge of state and federal employment-related laws and regulations
Knowledge with or the ability to quickly learn Criterion HCM system
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Must have strong knowledge of leave of absence and workers compensation management
Should also have experience with benefits, disputes and investigations, employee training and development.
