Job Summary of the Director of Logistics Operations position
Integr8staff seeks a proven Director of Logistics Operations with warehouse, distribution center experience to oversee a global operation near Compton, CA.

Responsibilities of the Director of Logistics Operations position
Develop and implement strategic and tactical action plans; facilitate meetings, implement and monitor key business metrics to drive effective cost- effective results.

Manage strategic, continuous improvement processes and cross-functional projects, including the measurement of progress and business impact.
Provide leadership through effective communication, coaching, training, & development.
Direct activities to support our budget requirements and work toward achieving the goals and objectives to meet business profitability and growth.
Develop and manage a system of controls to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters.
Work in collaboration with Human Resources in resolving labor issues, employee relations issues, and supporting HR programs.
Establish excellent customer relations, respond timely to customer requests and inquiries and ensure that the account receives the highest level of support and service.
Establish a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards and Cal-OSHA/OSHA regulations.
Manage programs for maintaining company standards of housekeeping, maintenance, security, and safety of equipment and facility in a manner that assures their most efficient operation.
Lead accountability with leadership team in accomplishing the established goals and objectives, including administering performance evaluations and disciplinary processes.
Assist in developing and administration of company policies, budgets and development of long-term strategies, goals and objectives.
Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, WM systems, and forecasts data to determine facility progress toward stated goals and objectives.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
Reviews all warehouse equipment purchases and leasing contracts.
Creates an atmosphere that promotes employee involvement and regular communication with facility management and employees.
Champions and fosters employee involvement, high collaboration and teamwork. Hands on leadership; regularly engages with all employees.
Establishes and frequently reviews developmental action plans that promote positive growth for the individual and strengthens succession planning initiatives.
Conducts performance evaluations and recommends promotion, wage increases and other performance related actions such as verbal and written counseling notices, discipline, and termination of employment.
Strong leadership skills including a collaborative, decisive, and engaging leadership style. Builds strong, trust-based, positive relationships with internal and external constituents.
Seeks out and listens to others’ ideas and suggestions. Provides clear and concise feedback to direct reports, peers and senior leaders.
Ability to effect change and implement new ideas to support business operations.

Requirements of the Director of Logistics Operations position
10+ years of demonstrated work history in a large, volume driven, fast-paced distribution center with in-depth warehousing and supply chain principles and processes.

3PL, Distribution, Drayage, Transloading, FTL, LTL, order fulfillment logistics experience required
Proven effective leadership experience in managing senior managers and non-exempt employees.
Experience operating warehouse management systems.
Knowledge of distribution center compliance.
Exceptional customer service, and employee communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management on operational, tactical and strategic level.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Ability to travel domestically up to 5-10%
